Pest Control for Industrial Buildings and Warehouses
Warehouses and industrial buildings are hard to seal. Dock doors stay open for hours, trailers arrive from all over the state, and pallets and cardboard give pests places to hide. In Florida, heat and summer rain push rodents, roaches and ants toward any dry, sheltered space they can find.
Florida Bug Control builds a service plan around how your building actually runs: where freight comes in, where it sits, and where people eat. The goal is fewer pests getting in and fewer places for them to settle. See how our commercial pest control works.
What Warehouses Deal With
Most pest problems in industrial space start at the edges of the building. These are the ones we see most:
- Rodents. Roof rats travel along utility lines and fence tops. Norway rats burrow along foundations. Both chew packaging, pallets and wiring.
- Cockroaches. American cockroaches, the large palmetto bugs, move in from storm drains and mulch beds, especially in the rainy season from about June to September.
- Ants and flies. Fire ants mound along slabs and around electrical boxes. Flies breed around dumpsters and compactors.
- Stored product pests. Beetles and moths can ride in on inbound goods and spread through racking.
If you store food, feed or anything a customer audits, tell us up front so the plan reflects it.
The Inspection
We start with a free walk-through of the inside and outside. We look at dock seals and door sweeps, gaps where pipes and conduit enter, the roof line, drainage, plants against the walls, dumpster pads, break rooms and how stock is stored. We also ask about your hours, shipping volume and any audit requirements. From that, we write a scope of service that lists what we treat, where monitoring devices go and how often we visit.
Ongoing Service and Reporting
Each visit follows that scope. A typical visit covers the exterior perimeter, docks and entry points, rodent devices, and interior trouble spots such as break rooms and restrooms. We use an Integrated Pest Management (IPM) approach. That means we look for the cause, point out fixes like a torn dock seal or a gap under a door, and treat where it makes sense. Before leaving, the technician tells your designated contact what was found and what was treated. If pests come back between scheduled visits, we return and re-treat at no charge. There are no long-term contracts.
