Service Approach
How We Approach Commercial Pest Control
Businesses want pest service that is thorough, shows up when it is supposed to, and is done by people they can actually talk to. That is how Florida Bug Control has run its commercial work since we started in Madison in 2021.
Every plan follows Integrated Pest Management (IPM). We find out why pests are getting in, fix what can be fixed, and treat only where treatment is needed. Each program mixes prevention with correction. After every visit, your technician tells your designated contact what was found and what was treated.
General Crawling Insects
This is the base of most commercial accounts. We treat for ants, spiders, crickets, silverfish and palmetto bugs (American cockroaches), inside the building and around the outside. Offices and retail spaces often do well on our quarterly All Seasons Protection plan. Busier sites can be serviced monthly.
Food-Handling Areas
Kitchens, cafeterias and food plants get monthly visits focused on German cockroaches, which breed fast in warm, wet spots behind equipment. We work with your staff on cleanup and hiding spots, because treatment alone does not hold.
Flies
House flies and drain flies are controlled at the source: dumpster pads, floor drains and grease buildup. Florida’s rainy season, roughly June to September, usually brings the heaviest fly pressure.
Stored Product Pests
Beetles, weevils and pantry moths get into flour, grain and packaged goods. Control depends on stock rotation and cleanup as much as treatment, so we set it up with you and check it each visit.
Rodents
Roof rats and mice start with exclusion, which means sealing the gaps they use to get in. Then we trap the ones already inside and move to monthly monitoring. See our rodent control page for details.
Bees and Wasps
We offer bee monitoring, hive removal, swarm removal and removal of bees from utility boxes. Learn more about bees and wasps.
Birds
We remove birds roosting or nesting on the building, put up exclusion to keep them off, and clear out old nests.
Fire Ants
Choose a one-time yearly treatment or ongoing monthly monitoring. Either way, we go after the colony, not just the mound you can see. Read about our fire ant service.
Mosquitoes
We look for standing water around the property and treat both larvae and adults. Gutters, plant saucers, tarps and low spots that hold rainwater are common sources.
Fleas and Ticks
More workplaces welcome pets, and one visit from a dog can bring fleas or ticks inside. We treat the affected rooms and the outdoor spots where they hide.
