Pest Control for Military and Aerospace Facilities
Hangars, maintenance shops and parts warehouses have pest problems most offices never see. Large doors stay open for aircraft and equipment, buildings often sit next to open fields and wetlands, and Florida weather drives rodents, ants and stinging insects indoors. A small problem can turn into chewed wiring or a nest in a spot that has to stay clear.
Florida Bug Control plans service for these sites around your access rules, your schedule and the areas that matter most. Learn about our commercial pest control.
Pests That Cause Trouble at These Sites
- Rodents. Rats and mice chew wire insulation and nest in stored equipment, crates and vehicles. Roof rats are common across Florida and climb easily into hangar rafters.
- Wasps and mud daubers. They build nests in small openings on parked equipment, in door frames and in light fixtures.
- Fire ants. They mound along pavement edges, fence lines and slabs, and they are drawn to electrical and junction boxes.
- Birds. Pigeons and sparrows roost in open hangars and leave droppings on equipment and floors.
- Cockroaches and flies. These show up in break rooms, dining areas and around dumpsters.
How We Inspect
We start by learning your rules: who escorts us, which areas are off limits, what can and cannot be applied near aircraft or sensitive equipment, and when work can happen. Then we do a free walk-through of the buildings and grounds. We look at door seals, roof lines, utility openings, drainage, storage practices, food areas and the perimeter. We write a scope of service from what we find.
Service and Reporting
Our Integrated Pest Management (IPM) approach puts inspection and prevention first. Technicians look for the food, water and shelter that keep pests around, recommend fixes like sealing gaps or changing how materials are stored, and treat where needed. Exterior work, rodent monitoring and interior service in break and office areas run on a regular schedule that fits your operations. After each visit, the technician tells your designated contact what was found and what was treated. If pests come back between scheduled visits, we return and re-treat at no charge. There is no long-term contract.
