Exterior baiting can head off a rodent problem before it starts or bring an existing one under control. It is most useful when rodent activity around a commercial building is climbing, because it cuts the number of rats and mice reaching the walls before any of them make it inside.
Safety: The technician puts on rubber gloves and an approved dust mask before working in any area with rodent activity. This protects against breathing in dried droppings, hair and dander.
Bait Stations: Stations go outside the building only. Each locked, tamper-resistant station holds rodenticide secured on a rod inside, so the bait stays put. Stations are spaced along the exterior, closer together where activity is heaviest, and each one is staked to the ground or fastened to a paver so it cannot be moved, shaken open or carried off.
Monitoring: The technician checks every station on each monthly visit. Where rodents are feeding, the rodenticide stays in place to keep reducing the population. Where nothing has been touched, the bait can be swapped for a monitoring block without rodenticide, which shows whether rodents return.
Service Review: When the work is done, the technician walks the customer through what was treated and where.
Follow-up: The customer learns what to expect from the baiting program over the coming weeks and what else would help it succeed, such as sealing entry points through trapping and exclusion. Each month, the technician records findings on the service ticket and, when possible, talks with the designated contact about any activity found in the stations.
Service Terms: The program runs on a monthly schedule with no long-term contract. If rodents come back between scheduled visits, Florida Bug Control returns and re-treats at no extra charge. Call 1-855-624-2847 to set up a free inspection of your property.
