How to Get Rid of Stable Flies

Stable fly management is usually limited to dairies and stables where horses, cows and other livestock are kept and not in or on homes. In summer, on horse farms, sticky traps are used to monitor infestation levels and then control measures are taken using Integrated Pest Management (I.P.M.) approaches in the areas where the populations are high and breeding sites numerous. Stable fly repellents and general insecticide repellents can be used to provide some relief to humans and other animals.
