How Serious Are American Dog Tick Bites?

Ticks will bite and feed on humans and some are carriers of various diseases such as Lyme disease, Rocky Mountain spotted fever, tick-borne relapsing fever and Tularemia to name a few. Symptoms vary among the different diseases, but they may include fever or chills, body aches, headaches, rashes, and nausea. These symptoms can occur in a person years after they were bitten.
